I guess technically this guy is a toad. He was hanging out on the back deck today, and was a very cooperative model. This picture is an awesome example of shallow depth of field - see how pretty much everything but the toad is blurry - that's intentional :D I love the detail in his "fingers" and the colors of his skin.
After I was finished taking pictures, I put the little guy into the leaves beside the deck. However, Acey was a little too interested in him, so I moved him outside the fence where he would be safe from curious dachshunds.
**Note: No toads, frogs, or dachshunds (as if!) were harmed in the creation of this blog!
