Day 18 and 19 (oops) - party and my Ironfriend

Sorry y'all! It took 18 days and I missed my first post! I had a good excuse tho - I was exhausted! Yesterday (Day 18), I woke up, worked out, and then we went to my friend Yoga Jenn's house for a Welcome Home Hubby (from Iraq) and her daughter's 3rd birthday party. She had asked me to bring my camera b/c she loves pictures, and I obliged.

Here's her daughter and the other kids enjoying the spill from the pinata (that pinata must have been made of concrete or something!)
I learned something from this picture - did you notice that it looks like the candy is falling up? That's because I used the flash, which captured the candy in the air, and I had a long-ish exposure which captured the blur as the candy kept falling. Had I used the rear-firing flash (meaning it would fire at the end of the capture) the blur would have been above the falling candy. Ah lightbulb!

This is probably my favorite picture from the party. Meet 5 month old Eleanor. Isn't she a doll??
So after the party (about 6pm), we came home and settled in to watch the Masters on tv. I fell asleep (I haven't been sleeping well - it must have something to do with all the protein I'm eating?) and the next thing I know it was Sunday morning. Oops. That's why there is no Saturday post because Saturday was a big sleepy blur!

Today was a boring day - more Masters on tv, I helped a friend buy a new laptop, and worked on my personal trainer study guide. Yawn. I also managed 7 miles on the treadmill and we did walk the girls. Medal.

The only picture I took today - and this is sad - is of my friend Terry who finished his first Ironman today! The picture is sad because it is a screen capture of the live video feed. It's actually a cool picture because you can see his BIG 'OLE GRIN of happiness. Congratulations Terry!!!
I promise I will take some interesting pictures this week!
