Day 2 - in my backyard

Hi all (is there an all??). I haven't told anybody about this blog, not for a certain reason. It just seems somewhat egotistical to me. I'm blogging for me anyway. But if you want to comment on the pictures, please feel free! I'm doing this as a learning tool.

So, it's Day 2 and I'm already running out of ideas. Days like today, when nothing is going on, are going to be hard. I have a feeling I'm going to shoot everything within walking distance of my house soon. Fortunately, spring has sprung and there are flowers everywhere, so I hope you don't tire of seeing flower pictures.

Two shots again today (maybe I should have said two pictures a day?). The first little guy was hanging out in the backyard, but isn't as fearless as lizards usually are. He was hard to catch, but I like this shot of him and his shadow.

The second shot is my african violet in a rosemary pot. I tend to kill indoor plants, but this little guy is hanging on and somehow doing well. He was a surprise from my husband. I like the loss-of-balance induced crop here.

Today I learned: a fisheye lens adapter will not work on a telephoto lens. It effectively takes away the zoom part. Stupid of me. I'll get some fisheye shots when I feel like switching lenses again (I love my 55-200!)
