We found this little guy while we were out running this morning. With the help of the man who saw him frogger his way across a major highway and a woman walking her little chihuahua, we were able to catch him. And of course, being the suckers we are, guess where he ended up? I've got an ad up on Craigslist and an ad in the local paper so hopefully somebody will call. He's obviously well take care of, he even smelled like shampoo (and had no fleas). So, keep your fingers crossed for him! As much as I would love it, it just isn't responsible for us to keep a 4th dog (even tho I've already named him George Clooney).*****UPDATE Mon 07/21/08*****
I found Snoop's owners this morning. Yes, you read that right. I found his owners this morning. I spent 2 hours putting up signs and going to the vets in town (no microchip) all in the hopes of finding owners that I was certain were just heartsick wondering where their sweet boy was. When I called Animal Control to let them know I had him in case anyone was looking, they told me that they had picked up a bichon in that area before, and told me the street he lived on. A young teenage boy answered the door. The dog wasn't excited to see him, altho he did try to run in the house. I asked the kid, "is this your dog?" and he said, "oohhhhhhhhhhhh yeahhhhhhhhhhhh - it is! We let it out yesterday and he ran off and we didn't know where" They hadn't even tried to look for him at all. I asked for proof of ownership, which he had, so I left the dog there (altho it broke my heart). I gave the kid a lecture that I'm sure will do no good at all. They had a fenced in backyard - no need to let him out the front door!!!! I spent the rest of the morning crying :(
